Reilly revealed on an <a data-evt-val=\"{\" control_fields=\"\" link=\"\" story=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/faith_reilly\/?hl=en\" data-evt=\"click\" data-evt-typ=\"click\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram story<\/a> that Brejcha was showing her the ring Clement gave her.<\/p>\n<p>Loperfido was traded back to the Houston Astros in the off-season, but the gang clearly remains close.<\/p>\n<p>Rumours had popped up in May that Clement and Brejcha had gotten engaged, but it seems were just a bit early.<\/p>\n<p>Clement\u2019s rise is one of the better recent stories in baseball. The 30-year-old native of Rochester, N.Y., went from a fourth-round Cleveland draft pick to being cut by the team and later the Oakland Athletics, before being signed by the Blue Jays in 2023 with limited expectations.<\/p>\n<p>A torrid 59-game stretch that season earned Clement a bigger look and he became a key part of Toronto\u2019s stunning 2025 season, which came agonizingly short of a World Series championship.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"embedded-image__image lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/791560998_18617452066042801_449156570032156826_n.jpg\"  alt=\"791560998_18617452066042801_449156570032156826_n\" height=\"2144\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1206\"\/> Stefanie Brejcha shows off a ring after getting engaged to Ernie Clement. (Instagram) Photo by Instagram \/InstagramLeading vote-getter<\/p>\n<p data-async=\"\">Another shocker occurred when Clement earned more than three million votes earlier this season, <a data-evt-val=\"{\" control_fields=\"\" link=\"\" all=\"\" american=\"\" league=\"\" players=\"\" data-evt=\"click\" data-evt-typ=\"click\" href=\"https:\/\/torontosun.com\/sports\/baseball\/toronto-blue-jays\/clement-tops-al-in-all-star-voting\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">leading all American League players<\/a> and booking Clement a trip to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.<\/p>\n<p>Clement, one of the best fielders in the league in 2025, made two strong defensive plays in the All-Star Game.<\/p>\n<p>Clement said in an interview with MLB Network four months ago that Brejcha has gotten him into an enjoyable hobby away from the field \u2014 reading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy girlfriend just got me into reading, so that\u2019s a little bit different,\u201d Clement said. \u201cI used to just love golf,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s the best.
