Back in July, nubia first talked about the NaviX Ultra<\/a>, an “AI-powered smartphone” because nubia didn’t want to let a company you’ve probably never heard of claim that title<\/a> all by itself.<\/p>\n

Now the nubia NaviX Ultra has been certified in China by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) – or rather, its built-in AI Large Language Model (LLM) got the green light (as all AI models have to in China, by law).<\/p>\n

The phone was jointly developed by nubia and ByteDance, the company behind TikTok. It will be available in four colors: blue, black, white, and “Dream”. nubia today also announced that the NaviX Ultra will be launching later this month.<\/p>\n

That’s when the company will make its specs official. In the meantime, all we have to go on is a rumor from late July<\/a> claiming the NaviX Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and that it has a 6.78-inch screen with “1.5K” resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.<\/p>\n

On the rear it’s rumored to sport a triple camera setup with a 50MP main shooter, while for selfies there’s a 50MP camera on the front. The device has a 7,100 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.<\/p>\n
