Toronto Maple Leaf Max Domi may be sidelined by injury, but he\u2019s still managing to find some \u201cice time\u201d in the offseason by proposing to his longtime girlfriend Estelle Phillips.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old forward announced the news on social media over the weekend, posting a picture of his soon-to-be wife showing off her engagement ring and the caption \u201cI love you so much.\u201d A second photo shows the couple hugging while petting their dog, Orion.<\/p>\n
Phillips, who works as a makeup artist, shared her own photos announcing the engagement with a caption that read: \u201cBest birthday ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
Several athletes took to the comments of Domi\u2019s post to congratulate him on the announcement, including former Leaf Mitch Marner, New York Islanders centre Bo Horvat, and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.<\/p>\n
But the biggest congratulations came from Domi\u2019s father, Tie, who penned his own tribute to the couple in a separate social media post.<\/p>\n
