Red carpet lovers, it\u2019s your lucky day: The 2026 Venice Film Festival<\/a> has officially arrived.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition of the annual film festival\u2014which produces one of the most glamorous red carpets<\/a> in the world\u2014 kicked off with a bang: George and Amal Clooney<\/a> rolled up to Venice in customary water taxi, where George is set to receive a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement award this week. (Ellen Burstyn will receive the same honour at 93, while appearing in two films: Korn\u00e9l Mundrucz\u00f3\u2019s Place to Be and Maggie Gyllenhaal\u2019s Marilyn Monroe biopic, Flesh Impact.)<\/p>\n

The film roster for this year\u2019s festival has plenty of buzzy projects to take in: Among them is Martin McDonagh\u2019s Oscar-tipped black comedy Wild Horse Nine; Lance Oppenheim\u2019s Primetime; a Robert Pattinson-led portrait of To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen; and Bunker, Florian Zeller\u2019s marital drama starring Pen\u00e9lope Cruz and Javier Bardem.<\/p>\n

Better year, however, is what all of these A-listers will be wearing on the step and repeat for the splashy premieres. This is, after all, the festival that last year<\/a> offered the first glimpses of new-era Chanel, Dior, Versace and Bottega Veneta before their respective runway debuts, and which has given us Lady Gaga\u2019s feathered Valentino couture gown<\/a> in 2018 and Zendaya\u2019s wet-look Balmain dress<\/a> in 2021, among other standout moments.<\/p>\n

Who are the A-listers you can expect to see on the 2026 Venice carpet? Stars such as Dakota Johnson, Pamela Anderson, Claire Foy, Susan Sarandon, Kate and Rooney Mara, Orlando Bloom, Stephen Graham, Parker Posey and Phoebe Bridgers are all expected to attend.
