{"id":881021,"date":"2026-09-02T18:24:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T18:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/881021\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T18:24:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T18:24:08","slug":"audacys-im-listening-mental-health-special-to-air-sept-8-13-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/881021\/","title":{"rendered":"Audacy\u2019s \u2018I\u2019m Listening\u2019 Mental Health Special To Air Sept. 8-13. | Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Audacy will mark a decade of its annual \u201cI\u2019m Listening\u201d mental health initiative with its 10th broadcast special in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month and World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept. 10), airing on stations between Sept. 8-13.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, \u201cI\u2019m Listening\u201d has brought celebrities, recording artists, newsmakers and mental health professionals together to focus on resources and the value of conversation around mental wellness.<\/p>\n<p>The special will again be hosted by NBC \u201cToday\u201d co-host \u201cThe Voice\u201d host Carson Daly, and Katie Neal, host of Audacy\u2019s syndicated \u201cKatie and Company.\u201d Among this year\u2019s guests are Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Shaboozey, Tate McRae, The Smashing Pumpkins, Janelle Mon\u00e1e and Shinedown.<\/p>\n<p>Joining them again will be psychologist, scientist, philanthropist and founder of The AAKOMA Project, Dr. Alfiee M. Breland-Noble, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention\u2019s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Christine Yu Moutier. During the program, the group will discuss mental health related topics such as social media and AI, veterans and first responders, and seasonal depression.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough personal stories, expert perspectives and information about available resources, \u2018I\u2019m Listening\u2019 continues to create a safe space for audiences to connect, find support and know they are not alone,\u201d Audacy\u2019s news release says.<\/p>\n<p>Audacy also notes that since its launch in 2017, \u201cI\u2019m Listening\u201d has helped broaden the national conversation around mental health while raising more than $2 million in support of national and local organizations. Audacy has also continued its partnership with mental health-related organizations through events such as its annual \u201cWe Can Survive\u201d concert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNearly a decade after we first launched \u2018I\u2019m Listening,\u2019 the need for honest conversations about mental health has never been more important,\u201d Audacy Senior VP of Programming Dave Richards says. \u201cEvery year, we\u2019re reminded of the power of simply creating space for people to listen, share their experiences, and know they\u2019re not alone. We\u2019re proud to bring this important program back to our audiences nationwide and continue using the reach and intimacy of audio to connect people with stories, resources and hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cI\u2019m Listening\u201d special will live stream on-air across all Audacy stations and on Audacy\u2019s app and website, with local day and time listings on station websites.
