The contract does not start until after the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La\u2019Vontae Shenault is six foot two and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from DeSoto, Texas, spent three seasons at <a href=\"https:\/\/cubuffs.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/lavontae-shenault\/15322\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Colorado University<\/a> (2019-21) with 23 catches for 253 yards, two kick returns for 55 yards, and four punt returns for 38 yards in 11 games for the Buffaloes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, he transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/bamastatesports.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/la-vontae-shenault\/6762\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alabama State University<\/a> in 2022 with 14 catches for 210 yards, one touchdown, and one punt return for 14 yards in six games for the Hornets. Shenault did not play football in 2023 and 2024 before transferring to <a href=\"https:\/\/goriverhawksgo.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/la-vontae-shenault\/6891\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Northeastern State University<\/a> in 2025 with a career-high 75 catches for 1,044 yards, five touchdowns, one carry for 21 yards, one rushing touchdown, two kick returns for 51 yards, and 13 punt returns for 74 yards in 11 games for the Riverhawks.
