{"id":881835,"date":"2026-09-03T11:46:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T11:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/881835\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:46:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T11:46:15","slug":"pedestrian-dies-after-being-struck-by-tow-truck-in-mississauga-in-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/881835\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian dies after being struck by tow truck in Mississauga in December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 45-year-old man has died more than seven months after being struck by a tow truck in Mississauga.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police provided the update <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/pedestrian-succumbs-to-injuries-following-2025-collision-in-mississauga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/pedestrian-succumbs-to-injuries-following-2025-collision-in-mississauga\/\">on Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The collision happened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/local\/peel\/article\/pedestrian-critically-injured-after-being-struck-by-driver-of-vehicle-in-mississauga\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/local\/peel\/article\/pedestrian-critically-injured-after-being-struck-by-driver-of-vehicle-in-mississauga\/\">on the afternoon of Dec. 16<\/a>, in the area of Rathburn Road East and Dixie Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said a pedestrian was crossing the road when he was struck by a tow truck. He was later taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The man died in the hospital on July 29, police revealed in a news release on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police identified the tow truck driver as Abner Zuniga.
