You can try out obstacles in this year\u2019s Tough Run before signing up for the annual event that combines fitness and fun in Brampton.<\/p>\n
This year marks the 10th annual Tough Run in Brampton \u2013 a boot camp-style obstacle course and five-kilometre run designed to put participants through their paces. And unlike past years, the city is letting interested residents try out some of the challenges before the race at some Brampton Recreation facilities.<\/p>\n
The new \u201cTry It Stations\u201d give you a chance to test out the course obstacles at select fitness centres until Sept. 25. Demos and drop-ins are free for members, with a walk-in for non-members.<\/p>\n
Past Tough Runs have included tire flips, rope climbs, up-hill sprints, and much more.<\/p>\n
The first 50 participants to register receive an exclusive Brampton Tough Run branded item to celebrate the event\u2019s 10th anniversary.<\/p>\n
There will also be a viewing area for the first time at this year\u2019s Tough Run, called The Fanzone. Fans can drop by on race day to take in the atmosphere and cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line.<\/p>\n
Kids 13 and under can also take on their own fun sized, kid friendly Tough Run challenge inside The Fanzone, the city says.<\/p>\n
Participants can do the run solo or team up with their friends, and the city is encouraging runners to come \u201cdressed in your toughest attire,\u201d face paint, DIY t-shirts, outfits and more.<\/p>\n
The 10th-annual Tough Run is being held on Sept. 26 in Chinguacousy Park. The first heat starts at 9:30 a.m. and the last heat starts at 12 p.m. with heats every 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

Participants must be 14 years of age or older and in good health to sign up for the challenge, and anyone between 14 and 17 years old must have a waiver completed by someone over the age of 18.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event is held outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. If severe weather occurs the event may be cancelled and participants will be notified by email,\u201d the city says.<\/p>\n
