A spacious and popular restaurant has reopened its doors following a brief hiatus.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier this summer, diners who frequent Square One in Mississauga were surprised to see that a well-known Turkish restaurant that had quickly become a mainstay had, at least temporarily, shuttered its doors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mado Square One, which took over the site that was once Jamie\u2019s Italian restaurant in 2021, has officially reopened. The restaurant closed in July, with a Square One representative confirming that the restaurant was, for the time being, no longer open for business. <\/p>\n
The Square One location was also removed from MADO\u2019s official website.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A representative later told INsauga.com that the restaurant was closed for renovations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The restaurant announced its reopening earlier this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe wait is over \u2014 MADO Square One is back and ready to welcome you,\u201d operators wrote on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cCome by and enjoy your MADO favourites. We can\u2019t wait to see you again.\u201d<\/p>\n
Operators also announced they\u2019re hiring, saying they hope to fill positions for servers, runners, a bakery assistant, and a hostess. Anyone interested in a job is asked to apply in person.<\/p>\n

The Mado chain, with more than 300 franchised stores in Turkey and around the world, has earned widespread acclaim for its unique-tasting ice cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n
With its Canadian operation headquartered in North York, Mado operates multiple locations throughout the province, with restaurants in Toronto (Yorkdale, the Eaton Centre, The Well, and the Shops at Don Mills) and London.<\/p>\n
While known for ice cream, the brand also serves breakfast, salads, dips, beef and chicken kebabs, sandwiches, pasta, burgers and baked goods. The chain also boasts a kids\u2019 menu, milkshakes and smoothies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The restaurant is now open Monday through Sunday.<\/p>\n
