He said one of the biggest challenges is that assets previously available, including players without trade protection and draft picks, are no longer on the table.<\/p>\n<p>He noted the Panthers were \u201cin this hot,\u201d but felt that after dealing significant pieces to Ottawa for Brady Tkachuk, they no longer had enough to acquire No. 37. He added that Buffalo had been prepared to move the fourth-overall pick.
