Khamzat Chimaev has been busy since losing his UFC middleweight title to Sean Strickland back in May. In June he wrestled Dillon Danis for Real American Freestyle, pinning the unreliable BJJ standout easily. A brawl broke out<\/a> afterward because Danis gonna Danis, but RAF didn\u2019t blame Chimaev. Instead, they booked him to headline RAF Moscow<\/a> against fellow former UFC champ Tyron Woodley, and he\u2019ll take on Gilbert Burns for RAF 13 in two weeks.<\/p>\n

This is the first time in 15 years that the Chechen fighter has competed in Russia, and media took the opportunity to ask him all about his flat performance<\/a> against Strickland that cost him his belt. Asked about the reports of injury or weight cut issues,<\/a> \u201cBorz\u201d shrugged.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been doing this my whole life, since I was 5 years old. I provide for my family. I\u2019m happy to make money, beat someone up.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for a Sean Strickland rematch?<\/p>\n

\u201cI am waiting for it, even tomorrow,\u201d Chimaev said. \u201cI\u2019m waiting for it more than you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not surprised by it,\u201d Chimaev said. \u201cHow long has Imavov been waiting for his title shot? Probably two years. He\u2019s already the contender. Whoever wins, we\u2019ll take him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil we break everyone at 185, I\u2019m not going anywhere,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n
