A restaurant in Mississauga has been shut down by Peel Public Health after a failed health inspection.<\/p>\n

Swagruhas, located at 2970 Drew Rd, was inspected and closed on Thursday, Sept. 3.<\/p>\n

The South Indian vegetarian restaurant specializes in sweet and savoury dosas.<\/p>\n

Peel Public Health\u2019s report states that the restaurant did not properly store food to prevent contamination and\/or adulteration and did not take adequate measures to prevent pests, as well as various other health violations.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is closed until further notice and may reopen after passing a follow-up inspection.<\/p>\n

This is the only failed inspection on file for this restaurant, which has inspections going back to October 2024.<\/p>\n

Peel Public Health regularly inspects restaurants in the region, issuing a green card if the inspection is passed, a yellow card for a conditional pass (minor infractions), and a red card if significant health risks are found.<\/p>\n

A restaurant that\u2019s issued a red card is forced to close until it can pass a follow-up inspection.<\/p>\n
