The national champion was planning to race the Tour du Pologne and the <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/sections\/news\/there-will-be-two-canadians-racing-the-vuelta-but-no-derek-gee\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a<\/a>, but has not raced since the road nationals.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the squad said the Osgoode, Ont., rider\u2019s lawyer sent a letter of termination on Aug. 9. However, the statement also said the team believes the contract remains valid through 2028. You can read it in full below.<\/p>\n<p>Gee has not yet spoken publicly on the matter.
