Culture Days 2026 is just around the corner, bringing weeks of free family-friendly events to communities across Ontario. And this year will feature Brampton as an Ontario \u201cFestival Hub\u201d to showcase local creativity.<\/p>\n
The annual festival held across Ontario returns starting on Sept. 18, and will celebrate the arts, culture and heritage of different communities across the province.<\/p>\n
And with Brampton recognized as the top-performing municipality in the Urban Centres category last year and second overall in Canada for Culture Days participation, the city has been named a Provincial Festival Hub for 2026 \u2013 an honour Mayor Patrick Brown says highlights \u201cthe strength and creativity of our local arts and culture community.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCulture Days gives residents of all ages the opportunity to discover something new, connect with local artists and creators, and experience the arts in our community,\u201d Brown said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The city says it\u2019s putting Brampton\u2019s local creators in the spotlight, showcasing collectives and cultural organizations to present new interactive experiences during Culture Days.<\/p>\n
Some highlights will include the Happy Hands Pottery & Art Studio, a group \u201cdelivering hands-on arts workshop series featuring lock printing, layered paper art, mosaic tile making, and torn paper,\u201d Malachi Watson-Narcisse\u2019s Zine\u2011making workshop series designed to explore Black Canadian identity, belonging, and cultural pride, and the Gardenview Sessions \u2013 a group of local artists performing acoustic sets, followed by an intimate conversation that transforms each show into a genuine exchange between community and creator.<\/p>\n
Caledon will also have plenty of programming for Culture days, inlcuding Caledon Under the Stars, featuring live music, local theatre, food and drinks under the open sky, the Caledon Creative Arts Festival and the CultureFEST celebration of Caledon\u2019s diverse cultures through music, dance, food and crafts.<\/p>\n
