Burroughs Dominates In Russia, Promptly Calls Out Islam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Jordan Burroughs made the most out of his trip overseas earlier today (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/raf-wrestling-schedule-cards-live-results\/469491\/raf-moscow-live-stream-results-discussion-and-video-highlights-khamzat-vs-woodley\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RAF Moscow<\/a> from inside Arena Mytishchi in Moscow, Russia, as the former Olympic gold medalist dominated Magomed Kurbanaliev via tech fall and then proceeded to call out current UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev to a showdown on the mats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Burroughs, who is one of the most decorated U.S. wrestlers competing under the Real American Freestyle (RAF) banner, was expected to handle business this weekend in Russia against Kurbanaliev. The 38-year-old was already coming off a technical fall win over UFC contender Sean Brady last month so his momentum was soaring ahead of RAF\u2019s trip to Moscow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Without missing a beat, Burroughs crushed Kurbanaliev from the opening bell. The 2012 Olympic gold medalist looked spry on the mats as he collected multiple takedowns to begin the match en route to earning a tech fall to win 10-0. There was never a moment in which Burroughs wasn\u2019t in control, which left the Russian crowd frustrated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">After the match, Burroughs took to the microphone to talk about his win and issue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ncaa-wrestling-news-and-results\/449562\/raf-signs-olympic-gold-medalist-jordan-burroughs-calls-out-islam-arman-same-night\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">another callout<\/a> to Makhachev, who is fresh off a UFC title defense against Ian Machado Garry back in August.
