{"id":885632,"date":"2026-09-06T14:46:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T14:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/885632\/"},"modified":"2026-09-06T14:46:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T14:46:13","slug":"charles-leclerc-needs-further-health-checks-after-monza-f1-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/885632\/","title":{"rendered":"Charles Leclerc needs further health checks after Monza F1 crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/charles-leclerc\/109611\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Charles\u00a0Leclerc<\/a> says he needs \u201ca few additional checks\u201d following his Italian Grand Prix crash, in order to make sure he\u2019ll be fit next weekend for Formula 1\u2019s Madrid round.<\/p>\n<p>Leclerc lost control of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/ferrari\/3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ferrari<\/a> SF-26 at high speed in the Parabolica at the end of lap two and suffered a hefty impact against the wall, which caused a red flag.<\/p>\n<p>The Monegasque was taken to the medical centre, which he was released from in the absence of any detected injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe neck was OK, it was just the vision a little bit at first,\u201d said\u00a0Leclerc. \u201cThe right eye was not showing me great vision, but now it&#8217;s all good, so that&#8217;s the thing I was most worried of getting off the car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen after that everything, a bit of pain here and there, which is normal after a crash like this, so nothing more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/charles-leclerc-ferrari-crash.jpg\" alt=\"Charles Leclerc, Ferrari crash\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Charles Leclerc, Ferrari crash<\/p>\n<p>However, this doesn\u2019t mean the 28-year-old emerged from the accident fully unscathed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think I&#8217;ll have quite a few additional checks that we still have to do on my side, probably tonight and tomorrow, to make sure that I&#8217;ll be fully fine for Madrid,\u201d he added. \u201cIt should be the case, but better be safe than sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As to why he lost control in the first place, Leclerc suggested &#8220;a difference in power delivery&#8221;, but insisted he wanted to look at the data rather than make uninformed comments. He also admitted to his disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, it&#8217;s very frustrating, but it&#8217;s the way it is now, I cannot change the results.
