Person shot inside parked Tesla in Delta<\/p>\n

A release sent by the Delta Police Department (DPD) shares that a person was shot inside a parked vehicle early Sunday (Sept. 6) morning. <\/p>\n
DPD says they responded to a report of shots fired in the 10600 block of 64th Avenue, near the Highway 91 on-ramp, at approximately 4:33 a.m. <\/p>\n
DPD says the person in the car was shot and found at the scene with a minor, non-life-threatening injury and transported to hospital in stable condition. <\/p>\n
A freelance reporter for Black Press Media says the vehicle was a parked Tesla with an UBER sticker on the car\u2019s window. <\/p>\n
They noted the Tesla having several bullet holes in its windshield and two on the passenger side. <\/p>\n
DPD said a grey Kia Forte was identified as the suspect vehicle and fled before officers arrived on scene. <\/p>\n
Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and said there is no ongoing risk to the public. <\/p>\n
The 10600 block of 64th Avenue is currently closed in all directions as police continue their investigation.<\/p>\n
Anyone with information, including dashcam footage from 4 to 4:45 a.m. around 64th Avenue, is asked to contact Delta police at 604-946-4411.<\/p>\n
