LOS ANGELES \u2013 A 34th-minute header from junior forward Finn Linas (top, center) marked the difference for the Cal Poly men\u2019s soccer program Monday evening as the Mustangs departed LMU\u2019s Sullivan Field with a 1-0 victory against the Lions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cal Poly sophomore goalkeeper Mathew Guerra chalked up three saves inside 25 minutes to keep Monday\u2019s matchup stalemated before Linas scored with Cal Poly\u2019s first and only shot on target of the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Salvaging a ball off Cal Poly\u2019s end line with his chest, freshman defender Matt Rajecki played a pass back to junior midfielder Colin Pearce at the top right corner of LMU\u2019s penalty area. Pearce fired a pass toward goal for Linas, who headed from eight yards past LMU goalkeeper Ky Mani Dade.\u00a0<\/p>\n
