A native of Indianapolis, Stanifer is in his fourth pro season. He had been with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In 28 appearances this season, 19 of them starts, Stanifer was 6-8 with an earned run average of 4.82 and a 1.546 WHIP in 97.0 innings pitched. He struck out 133 batters and walked 64, giving him an impressive 12.3 SO9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Bisons open a six-game series with the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/chicago-white-sox\/228\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/chicago-white-sox\/228\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago White Sox<\/a>, on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gage Stanifer is one step closer to Major League Baseball.
