{"id":888580,"date":"2026-09-09T00:40:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T00:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/888580\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T00:40:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T00:40:13","slug":"great-outdoors-comedy-festival-in-mississauga-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/888580\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Mississauga cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A comedy festival that was expected to come to Mississauga this weekend has been abruptly cancelled. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/greatoutdoorscomedyfestival.com\/mississauga-postponed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/greatoutdoorscomedyfestival.com\/mississauga-postponed\">The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival<\/a> was scheduled to take place at Erindale Park, located near the University of Toronto Mississauga, from Sept. 11 to 13. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Several big names in comedy were billed for the weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Stavros Halkias, Fred Armisen, James Austin Johnson, and John Mulaney were slated to be Friday\u2019s headliners. Saturday\u2019s lineup included T.J. Miller, Jordan Jansen, and Brad Williams, while Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, and Hasan Minhaj were expected to wrap the festival up on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Festival organizers said in an online statement that they decided to postpone the upcoming event, but did not provide a clear reason why that decision was made. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe know there was a lot of excitement around the show, but our priority is to deliver the best possible festival, and we believe that postponing this week\u2019s performance is the right decision to ensure we can do that,\u201d the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival wrote. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Organizers said they are exploring new dates and will contact festivalgoers as soon as they have one. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cIf you\u2019ve purchased tickets, please stay tuned as we\u2019ll be following up directly,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A comedy festival that was expected to come to Mississauga this weekend has been abruptly cancelled.
