{"id":889432,"date":"2026-09-09T16:46:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T16:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/889432\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T16:46:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T16:46:10","slug":"jets-announce-2026-prospect-challenge-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/889432\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets announce 2026 Prospect Challenge roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Link: <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1A9hYIdpCH0Qc7rxG0bi8ScIV1OOK4J_e\/view?usp=sharing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">**2026 Winnipeg Jets Prospect Challenge roster**<\/a><\/p>\n<p>WINNIPEG, Sept. 9, 2026 \u2013 The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club today announced their roster for the 2026 Prospect Challenge to be held at the Centre Slush Puppie in Gatineau, Que. on Sept. 12-13.<\/p>\n<p>The group traveling to\u00a0Gatineau will practice at hockey for all centre on Friday, Sept. 11 at 9:15 a.m. CT before departing.<\/p>\n<p>Players suiting up for the Jets in this year&#8217;s Prospect Challenge include 2026\u00a0NHL Draft first-round pick Viggo Bj\u00f6rck, and 2023 NHL Draft first-round picks Colby Barlow and Brayden Yager. The roster also features three of the six other players selected by Winnipeg in this June\u2019s draft: goaltender Samuel Hren\u00e1k (third round) and defencemen Alexandre Taillefer (fifth round), and Alofa Tunoa Ta\u2019amu (seventh round).<\/p>\n<p>This will be the second straight year the Jets take part in a prospect tournament that features the Montreal\u00a0Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
