<\/p>\nToronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga is opening more than 30 new retail, dining and lounge locations inside its terminals in what it describes as a \u201clandmark commercial expansion\u201d designed to transform the experience for travellers.<\/p>\n
The new businesses and restaurants, which combine to create what airport officials say is \u201ca strong lineup of Canadian-owned, Toronto-founded and locally inspired brands alongside internationally recognized names,\u201d are opening throughout 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor millions of travellers each year, Toronto Pearson is where journeys begin, connections are made and Canada comes to life,\u201d Toronto Pearson CEO Deborah Flint said in a news release on Wednesday. \u201cBy continuing to evolve our retail and dining options, we are creating a sense of place that reflects the diversity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our country, while delivering an exceptional passenger experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Airport officials added the dining, retail and lounge openings \u201ccreate more opportunities for travellers to eat, shop and relax throughout the airport while providing Canadian and local businesses with a platform to connect with millions of visitors from around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pearson officials said the significant commercial expansion comes as Canada\u2019s biggest and busiest airport \u201cembarks on ambitious plans to modernize and prepare for future growth\u201d through one of the largest airport infrastructure projects in Canadian history.<\/p>\n
A creation of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, which runs Pearson, the airport\u2019s multibillion-dollar Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals plan (Pearson LIFT)<\/a> has been in the works for years and promises to modernize and expand Toronto Pearson over the next decade.<\/p>\n Part of the plan is a $1.5-billion undertaking to modernize Pearson\u2019s two passenger terminals<\/a>.
