{"id":889850,"date":"2026-09-10T00:38:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T00:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/889850\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T00:38:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T00:38:09","slug":"surrey-value-of-tourism-survey-for-business-owners-has-sept-15-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/889850\/","title":{"rendered":"Surrey \u2018Value of Tourism\u2019 survey for business owners has Sept. 15 deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Surrey \u2018Value of Tourism\u2019 survey for business owners has Sept. 15 deadline<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 3:35 pm Wednesday, September 9, 2026<\/p>\n<p>What would make Surrey a stronger destination for visitors, residents and investment alike?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a central question in a Value of Tourism and Strategic Tourism Development Study launched by City of Surrey, Discover Surrey and Surrey Hotel and Motel Association, in partnership with Nordicity and Happy Cities.<\/p>\n<p>Business owners need to complete the survey by Sept. 15 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/ZD3VLXF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">surveymonkey.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete,\u201d the website says. \u201cAll responses are confidential and will be reported in aggregate only. There are no right or wrong answers, we\u2019re interested in your experiences and perspectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Research will \u201cquantify tourism\u2019s economic contribution to Surrey and identify opportunities to strengthen tourism planning and investment across the destination,\u201d a news release says.<\/p>\n<p>Input will help inform future tourism investments, destination marketing strategies, business support initiatives and long-term tourism planning in Surrey, with Angeline Chew, executive director of Discover Surrey, serving as strategic advisor.<\/p>\n<p>Following the survey, stakeholders can participate in focus group sessions in September to explore tourism opportunities, challenges and priorities for Surrey\u2019s future.
