MONTREAL \u2014 A number of employees at engineering firm AtkinsR\u00e9alis have recently seen their pay delayed as the company transitions to a new resource planning system.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for AtkinsR\u00e9alis, formerly SNC-Lavalin, confirms that there were delays in both the Aug. 19 and Sept. 2 pay cycles. <\/p>\n
She says there were fewer problems in the most recent pay cycle, but did not specify how many employees were impacted.<\/p>\n
As of the end of 2025, AtkinsR\u00e9alis employed over 40,000 people worldwide.<\/p>\n
The Montreal-based company reported a total revenue of around $11 billion and over $2.6 billion in profits in 2025.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson says the company offered to support employees affected by the delays and pay them outside the regular pay cycle as needed.<\/p>\n
The pay issues arose after the company extended its existing international finance and accounting platform to Canada in July, explained the spokesperson, Laurence Myre Leroux.<\/p>\n
Leroux said the company prepared its employees for the changes before the new system was adopted.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe remain committed to supporting employees throughout this transition and ensuring they receive the compensation to which they are entitled,\u201d she wrote in an email to The Canadian Press.\u2028<\/p>\n
