PROVIDENCE, R.I. \u2013 The University of Maine women’s soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against Providence College on Thursday night at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.<\/p>\n
The Black Bears took a 1-0 lead in the final minute of the first half when Victoria Dungey<\/a> turned through two defenders at midfield and sent a ball up the middle for a streaking Isabella Meadows<\/a>. Meadows ran onto it and carried it into the box before touching it inside the right post with 37 seconds to go in the half.<\/p>\n The Friars kept searching for an equalizer and found it with less than 10 minutes to play, with a goal originally called offsides being overturned to even the score at 1-1.<\/p>\n NOTES
