The debate, which organizers say will focus on important issues including economic growth, leadership, investment, infrastructure and the city\u2019s future, will run from 1:30-4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Theme of the event is \u201cbusiness and leadership,\u201d according to the board of trade, which represents some 1,000 larger businesses in addition to numerous smaller operations across Mississauga.<\/p>\n

The Mississauga Board of Trade describes the upcoming debate as \u201can important conversation about Mississauga\u2019s future\u201d and adds it will provide an opportunity \u201cto hear directly from mayoral candidates\u201d as they discuss issues of most importance to city businesses of all sizes.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether you\u2019re a business leader, entrepreneur, professional or engaged member of the Mississauga community, this is an opportunity to hear the candidates\u2019 perspectives and learn more about their vision for the city,\u201d MBOT said in an online notice of the debate.<\/p>\n
In-person attendance is exclusively available to MBOT members, \u201coffering members a unique opportunity to experience the debate live and engage with the discussion in person,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n
The debate will also be live streamed, they added.<\/p>\n

Dipika Damerla, who\u2019s also running for mayor, will debate issues relevant to the city\u2019s business community on Sept. 25.<\/p>\n The four main mayoral candidates previously weighed in on the impact of U.S. tariffs<\/a> \u2014 and the trade war \u2014 on Mississauga businesses.<\/p>\n Following the debate hosted by the Mississauga Board of Trade, the four main candidates will square off again less than a week later.<\/p>\n Poverty, housing and food security will be among the issues discussed when the candidates meet on stage for an Oct. 1 debate co-hosted by Food\u00a0Banks Mississauga and the Metamorphosis Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n That event takes place\u00a0from 7-9 p.m. at FBM\u2019s warehouse on Eastgate Parkway in the city\u2019s east end.<\/p>\n Also taking part in the Sept. 25 debate hosted by the Mississauga Board of Trade is mayoral candidate and Ward 2 Coun.
