Police have closed a stretch of road in a Brampton industrial area following an early morning fire.<\/p>\n
The blaze broke out at an industrial unit on Rutherford Road South in the area of Clarence Street around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Peel Regional Police said in a post on social media.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported and police say Brampton Fire and Emergency Services firefighters extinguished the blaze by around 3:30 a.m. The fire was contained to one building and firefighters remained on the scene to monitor conditions, police say.<\/p>\n
Police have closed Rutherford Road South between Clarence Street and Stafford Drive while emergency crews are on the scene.<\/p>\n
Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.<\/p>\n
