Lil Nas X\u2019s bizarre behavior began hours before his nearly nude hospitalization and arrest<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The singer was spotted on surveillance camera footage, obtained by TMZ<\/a> Friday, roaming around a Los Angeles hotel where he was reportedly not a guest.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old could be seen approaching the Short Stories Hotel around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He went on to grab what appeared to be a glass of water from the lobby before sitting on a bench and removing his shirt.<\/p>\n

The Grammy winner, who was not a guest, wore a button-up shirt, jeans, a cowboy hat and boots at the time. TMZ<\/p>\n

By the time the Grammy winner was arrested wandering around Ventura Boulevard early Thursday morning, he had stripped down to only his shoes and underwear.<\/p>\n

Lil Nas X, who an eyewitness allegedly heard mumble was going to a party, also put an orange traffic cone atop his head.<\/p>\n

When police approached the songwriter around 5:50 a.m., the rapper allegedly \u201ccharged\u201d at the cops.<\/p>\n

By 6 a.m. the following morning, Lil Nas X had stripped down to only his tighty-whities and shoes. TMZ \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n

The American Music Award winner is currently being held at Van Nuys Jail, where he was booked on Thursday at 11:22 a.m. with a misdemeanor charge of battery on a police officer.<\/p>\n
