(Image Credit: CFJC Today\/Anthony Corea)<\/p>\n<p>By Marty Hastings<\/p>\n<p>Golf fundraiser<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tSep 11, 2026 | 5:38 PM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>KAMLOOPS \u2014 The 23rd annual Gur Singh Memorial Golf Tournament took place on Friday (Sept. 11) at Bighorn Golf and Country Club.<\/p>\n<p>A convoy of carts rolled out for the shotgun start at about 11:00 a.m. and it was 12 o\u2019clock somewhere for some groups, with more than 140 golfers in a festive mood at the Kamloops Brain Injury Association fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrain injury is typically invisible,\u201d said David Johnson, executive director of the KBIA. \u201cThey know they have the injury, but everyone around them doesn\u2019t see it, so they feel very isolated. When they come out here and see all these people who know what brain injury is and they\u2019re supporting brain injury survivors, it makes a really big impact.
