One man has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and other offences after a stabbing and four foiled carjackings in Brampton.<\/p>\n
The incident started at around 10 p.m. on Sunday when officers were called to the area of Clockwork Drive and Creditview Road in Brampton for reports of a robbery, Peel Regional Police say.<\/p>\n
Investigators say a male suspect tried to carjack a vehicle while the owner was inside, and that the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to a local trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.<\/p>\n
The suspect then fled the scene on foot and went to a nearby residence where the man kicked in the door and demanded the keys to a vehicle.<\/p>\n
But the suspect was unsuccessful and fled the residence before trying to carjack two more vehicles in the area. None of the additional victims were injured during the attempts.<\/p>\n
Police say a suspect was arrested on Monday after serving a search warrant.<\/p>\n
