A well-known mochi doughnut spot in Toronto is opening a new Filipino restaurant.<\/p>\n

After initially closing its location at 4 St. Patrick St., Isabella\u2019s announced it is reopening the location as Araceli on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re reopening our St. Patrick location \u2014 but this time, it won\u2019t just be doughnuts,\u201d the team shared online<\/a>. \u201cSay hello to our baby sister brand: Araceli, a Filipino kitchen built on the traditions and flavours we grew up on, brought to life with the modern energy of Toronto.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the restaurant<\/a>, you can expect food that is \u201chearty, comforting and packed with bold flavour.\u201d Think adobo, calamansi, coconut and garlic, \u201cit\u2019s made for people who just love good food,\u201d they stated.<\/p>\n

There will be a celebration on opening day that starts with the ribbon cutting at noon. The first 100 customers will get a gift bag with goodies and gifts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The day will include a Filipino-style fiesta, complete with a barbecue and other treats. \u201cWe will have live food preparation as well as interactive activities, such as hand-fan making, face painting for the little ones, a DJ and giveaways,\u201d the team added.<\/p>\n

Throughout opening day, the entire menu will be 50 per cent off. Between 4 and 6 p.m., every purchase will include a free\u00a0Araceli sandwich.<\/p>\n

Founded by local couple David and Cecilia in 2016<\/a>, Isabella\u2019s is named after their daughter.<\/p>\n
