{"id":893151,"date":"2026-09-12T15:32:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T15:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/893151\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T15:32:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T15:32:14","slug":"las-vegas-raiders-te-michael-mayer-gets-3-year-45m-extension-sources-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/893151\/","title":{"rendered":"Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer gets 3-year, $45M extension, sources say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Tight end Michael Mayer, who is stepping in for an injured Brock Bowers to start the regular season, has received a multiyear extension from the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Mayer is getting a three-year, $45 million extension that includes $30 million guaranteed, sources told NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He will be the Raiders\u2019 starting tight end in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins after Bowers underwent a meniscus trim Tuesday and is expected to miss a game or two to start the season, league sources said earlier in the week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Mayer found success in 2025 when Bowers missed five games due to a PCL injury and bone bruise in his left knee.
