Police say there may be more victims. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A Mississauga man has been arrested after police allege he sold numerous fraudulent auto insurance policies to victims across the Greater Toronto Area for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/police-seek-additional-victims-following-fraudulent-auto-insurance-investigation-pr240321452\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.peelpolice.ca\/news-feed\/posts\/police-seek-additional-victims-following-fraudulent-auto-insurance-investigation-pr240321452\/\">Investigators say<\/a> the suspect sold the policies to victims between April 2024 and August 2026 by providing falsified proof-of-insurance documents that appeared legitimate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say they identified 15 incidents in which victims lost a combined total of more than $10,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said the he was previously licensed to sell insurance and had been employed by several insurance brokerages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Muhammad Raahim, 25, was arrested Aug. 26 and charged with one count of fraud against the public. The allegations have not been proven in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Raahim was released with conditions and is awaiting a future court appearance, police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
