That includes the drowning of her son, Jason, and what happens to her life after \u2014 namely, her murderous, revenge-fuelled descent following the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhile the trailer features a few eerie shots, it seems Peacock is saving the biggest scares for the show\u2019s premiere. Speaking with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/tv\/columns\/crystal-lake-linda-cardellini-friday-the-13th-prequel-series-gory-gross-blood-1236836771\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Variety\u2019s<\/a> Marc Malkin last month, Cardellini said, \u201cIt does get gory, yes, so much so that I wish sometimes they weren\u2019t as practical as they were. There are a couple of gory moments on set that were very practical that were pretty gross. Blood everywhere at one point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn addition to Cardellini, the cast includes Callum Vinson (\u201cChucky,\u201d \u201cLong Bright River\u201d), Nick Cordileone (\u201cWarrior\u201d), Joy Suprano (\u201cFleishman is in Trouble,\u201d \u201cBest Foot Forward\u201d), Danielle Kotch (\u201cDirector\u2019s Cut\u201d), and Phoenix Parnevik (\u201cBel-Air,\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t Tell Mom The Babysitter Is Dead\u201d). William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom will also appear as series regulars.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tReleased in 1980, the original \u201cFriday the 13th\u201d film was a major success, grossing nearly $60 million on a reported budget of less than $600,000.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBrad Caleb Kane serves as the show\u2019s creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer. Also executive producing are A24, Victor Miller, who wrote the original film, Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P.
