Investigators have identified 15 incidents so far, with reported losses exceeding $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>According to investigators, suspect was previously licensed to sell insurance and worked for several insurance brokerages. Investigators believe he continued selling policies after losing his legal authority and licence to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Police say Muhammad Raahim was arrested Aug. 26 and charged with Defraud the Public. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Police are warning consumers to verify that insurance brokers and agents are properly licensed and to confirm coverage directly with their insurer when purchasing a policy.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
