The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is launching a new Chamber Orchestra Series featuring two intimate concerts in the Studio Theatre at the Living Arts Centre. The series opens with The Art of the String Orchestra on Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 PM. Limited to 250 seats, each concert places audiences just steps from the musicians.<\/p>\n
Designed for longtime concertgoers and new audiences alike, the series combines performance with engaging commentary from Maestro Denis Mastromonaco and the musicians of the MSO. The setting allows audiences to hear the music in detail and learn about the repertoire directly from the artists.<\/p>\n
The Art of the String Orchestra features selections from Bach\u2019s Brandenburg Concertos, the first movement of Vivaldi\u2019s Autumn, Mozart\u2019s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s Serenade for Strings, Holst\u2019s St. Paul\u2019s Suite, and Barber\u2019s Adagio for Strings.<\/p>\n

The series continues with The Art of the Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, June 19, 2027. The program will feature music by Gabrieli, Bach, Mozart, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, Ravel, and Stravinsky.<\/p>\n
