The New York Jets are diverging from their usual home look for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n
The team announced<\/a> it will wear its “White Out” uniforms and wants fans to join in on the fun. Along with the white monochrome jerseys, the Jets will have an alternate logo at midfield and in the endzone:<\/p>\n A home opener is always cause for excitement no matter the general expectations. It’s early enough in the season that anything is possible for the year ahead.<\/p>\n The Jets generated a little more anticipation with their Week 1 victory over the Tennessee Titans and former coach Robert Saleh.<\/p>\n Geno Smith was an efficient 19-of-24 for 215 yards through the air, while Breece Hall ran for 102 yards and one touchdown. New York’s defense, meanwhile, held the Titans to 195 yards.<\/p>\n One result doesn’t make the Jets a contender. They sit 26th in Bleacher Report’s Week 2 power rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Packers, for their part, will be smarting from their collapse to the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay was up 22-10 in the third quarter before allowing 29 unanswered points.<\/p>\n
