Along with the new e-specific release, P321 is also offering a very-slightly simplified version of its G3 hub. In place of the 6-lock, which allows one hub to switch between centerlock or six bolt disc rotor standards, G3 will be available in either standard for a lower price.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re always happy to see compatibility.<\/p>\n P321 G3Ti: Not just a driver<\/p>\n While titanium is in the name, P321\u2019s re-vamp of the G3 hub for e-specific use goes well beyond the titanium driver body. While the combination of a harder metal than the usual aluminium driver shell and P321\u2019s M-Pulse drive mechanism are core to the new hub withstanding 1,100 Nm in testing, other changes help the G3Ti hold up to the daily abuse eMTBs dish out.<\/p>\n P321\u2019s changed the way in which its three-step pawls engage to help deal with heavier loads. Instead of two of eight pawls engaging at once, as on the G3, the G3Ti is phased so that four of eight pawls engage at once. That gives the new hub 144 P.O.E. (over a 72T drive ring) for 2.5-degree engagement.<\/p>\n The update makes P321 one of the few hub brands (alongside Chris King) to back their goods up with a warranty for high-torque eMTB use. P321 offers a 10 year warranty on the hub shell, axle and titanium G3Ti driver body and a three year warranty on the pawls and drive ring.<\/p>\n Double bearings for burly bikes<\/p>\n Another big change hides inside the G3Ti hub shell. A second row of 3802 bearings on the G3Ti replaces a single row of 6802 bearings on the drive side of the G3, significantly adding stiffness and durability to the axle and bearing layout of the new hub, even when used with heavier eMTBs.<\/p>\n Another e-specific change is the move away from P321\u2019s exclusive 6-lock rotor mount. That system, which remains on the flagship G3 hub, isn\u2019t always compatible with eMTB speed sensors. So P321 is offering the G3Ti in 6-bolt or center lock rotor mount standards.
