<\/p>\nMississauga, Oshawa, Brampton, Oakville and Hamilton have all been recognized as Canada\u2019s\u00a0Best Site Selections locations for business by Site Selection magazine, a publication covering corporate real estate, economic development and investment attraction.<\/p>\n
The annual ranking recognizes communities across Canada that are successfully attracting investment, supporting business expansion and creating high-quality employment opportunities.<\/p>\n
Mississauga, a perennial top performer, was cited this year for welcoming nearly 4,000 new jobs and some $1.7 billion in corporate facility investment.
\nOshawa was recognized for recording more than $1 billion in industrial, commercial and institutional development over the past five years.
\nBrampton made the list for $318 million in investment and 1,265 new jobs, with recent projects including Mobile Climate Control ($88.2 million, 700 jobs), Coca-Cola Canada Bottling ($141 million) and Powersmiths International (200 jobs).
\nOakville saw more than $3 billion invested and 1,926 jobs created in recent years, including Ford\u2019s multi-billion-dollar retooling of its Oakville Assembly Complex, AFX Mixing & Pumping Technologies ($9 million), Siemens Canada ($23 million), Concast Pipe ($10 million), Laurentis Energy Partners (50 jobs) and Pinty\u2019s Delicious Foods ($10 million).
\nHamilton saw its Small Business Centre establish a new food incubator, welcomed TD Coliseum and added Airwise (150 jobs), Atomvie Global Radiopharma ($101 million), Opta Waterdown ($25 million) and Skygauge Robotics (26 jobs).<\/p>\n
Communities are evaluated using 2025-26 data from Site Selection\u2019s Conway Projects Database, which tracks qualifying corporate facility investments and measures economic performance through project activity, capital investment and job creation.<\/p>\n
The recognition places the communities alongside leading investment destinations across the country and, according to a news release from the City of Oshawa, reinforces its growing reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing, technology, clean energy, life sciences, defence innovation and logistics.<\/p>\n

Recent projects in the city include Lactalis Canada, Martin Brower, Ontario Power Generation, GM Canada, Amazon.com, and GEODIS.<\/p>\n
The designation also comes at a time when Oshawa is advancing economic diversification and investment activity across key sectors, including advanced manufacturing, automotive technology, aerospace, clean technology, health sciences and defence-related industries.<\/p>\n
