The wading pool at Celebration Square in Mississauga\u2019s downtown core will close for the year one week from Sunday while splash pads across the city are expected to shut down around the same time or a bit later.<\/p>\n
City of Mississauga spokesperson Irene McCutcheon told INsauga.com the wading pool, a popular City Centre attraction during the summer, will close for the season on Sept. 27 \u201cto coincide with other construction that is occurring on site.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 34 splash pads at parks across Mississauga are expected to close for 2025 shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re aiming to close the spray pads around the same time. However, precise timing for closing splash pads is weather dependent. They may close later, depending on the long-range forecast,\u201d McCutcheon said.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, the weather forecast is calling for temperatures between 17 and 21 C tomorrow through next Wednesday, with rain possible a couple of days next week. Beyond that, mostly sunny and around 19 C is the call for the seven days between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.<\/p>\n
The Celebration Square wading pool and the city\u2019s splash pads are scheduled to reopen\u00a0next May, when the weather allows.<\/p>\n
