The Buffalo Bills came out firing on all cylinders in their first game in New Highmark Stadium on Thursday. <\/p>\n
The Bills were nearly perfect in the first half against the Detroit Lions, taking a 27-10 lead into the third quarter behind a tremendous offensive showing. <\/p>\n
Allen threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, finding Dalton Kincaid, Josh Palmer and Dawson Knox in the end zone. Allen added 40 rushing yards and another score, and Bills running back James Cook torched the Lions’ defense with 101 rushing yards. <\/p>\n
The Lions’ offense was a completely different story. Jared Goff had 128 passing yards and a touchdown in the first half, and Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 47 yards. Star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown didn’t do much either, getting just two receptions for 33 yards. <\/p>\n
The polar opposite first half from the two teams saw fantasy managers with Allen rejoice, while those who have Goff lamented Detroit’s struggles. <\/p>\n
The Bills’ offensive showing was impressive, but far from surprising given what they’ve done with Allen under center in the past. <\/p>\n
