After decades of playing the lottery, a Brampton father and his family are celebrating a \u201conce-in-a-lifetime\u201d $50,000 win.<\/p>\n
Merton Peter T. says he\u2019s been playing OLG lottery games for nearly 30 years, and often enjoys playing Daily Keno.<\/p>\n
The Brampton father was checking tickets at a store on Aug. 14 when he discovered his Daily Keno 8 Pick won him a $50,000 prize.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I realized I had a winning ticket, I was so excited,\u201d he said while picking up his cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.<\/p>\n
Merton shared the news with his daughter first, and said she \u201cwas very happy and flabbergasted.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and it doesn\u2019t happen to everyone,\u201d he said. \u201cI would describe it as breathtaking.\u201d<\/p>\n
Daily Keno can be played with a $1, $2, $5 or $10 ticket. The OLG says it supports safe play and responsible gambling through its PlaySmart program<\/a>.<\/p>\n The winning ticket was purchased at Raj Kitchen Food Fair on Father Tobin Road in Brampton.<\/p>\n
