Voters can get an early start on Mississauga\u2019s 2026 Municipal Election with advance voting taking place from October 6 to 11. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\"Building<\/p>\n

The City of Mississauga encourages eligible voters to take advantage of advance voting before Election Day, Monday, October 26. Advance voting gives voters more days and more locations to cast their ballot before Election Day. It is the same voting process, offered earlier, so you can choose a time that works best for you.<\/p>\n

Advance voting helps make voting easier, reduces lineups and gives voters more flexibility. If you have work, school, caregiving responsibilities, travel plans or other commitments on October 26, advance voting can help you make a plan and have your say.<\/p>\n

Vote in advance from Tuesday, October 6 to Sunday, October 11. Advance voting will be available at Mississauga City Hall (300 City Centre Dr.) on October 6 and 7. From October 8 to 11, locations will be open across the city, and you can vote at any advance voting location<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Election Day, eligible voters may vote at a voting location in the ward in which they live or have property<\/a>. You will elect the Mayor, Ward\/Regional Councillor and School Board Trustees. Bring your Voter notification card (if you receive one) and one piece of acceptable identification.<\/p>\n

Before you vote<\/p>\n

Before you vote, take a few minutes to make sure you are eligible, your voter information is correct and you know where you can cast your ballot. This helps make the voting process faster and helps election staff give you the right ballot.<\/p>\n

Ways to vote
\nVote in person<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re eligible, you can vote in person during advance voting or on Election Day. During advance voting, you can vote at any advance voting location in Mississauga. On Election Day, you can vote at any voting location within your ward.<\/p>\n

To make voting easier, confirm you\u2019re on the voters\u2019 list before you go. If you receive a Voter notification card, bring it with you. The card is not required to vote, but it shows your voting information and can help speed up the process.<\/p>\n

You must bring one piece of acceptable identification that shows your name and qualifying Mississauga address, such as:<\/p>\n

Vote by proxy<\/p>\n

If you can\u2019t vote in person during advance voting or on Election Day, you can ask another eligible voter to vote on your behalf. This is called voting by proxy.<\/p>\n

Your proxy must be eligible to vote in Mississauga. You and your proxy must complete an Appointment for Voting Proxy Form<\/a> and have it certified by Mississauga\u2019s Clerk\u2019s Office by 5 p.m. on Monday, October 26. Find out more.<\/a><\/p>\n

Vote from Front Door Pilot Program<\/p>\n

The City is offering a Vote from Front Door option for the 2026 Municipal Election. You must be an eligible voter<\/a> to participate. Availability is limited.<\/p>\n

This pilot program is designed for people who can\u2019t leave their homes due to illness, injury or mobility, and do not have someone to act as a proxy to vote on their behalf.<\/p>\n

Voting is a direct way to have a say in how Mississauga grows, how services are delivered and who represents your community. Your vote helps shape decisions about your daily life, including decisions about roads, parks, transit, community programs and other local services.<\/p>\n
