Miley<\/a> has hinted at plans for a concert residency<\/p>\n

The singer \u2013 who recently dropped her last name<\/a> \u2013 released her tenth album \u2018Bass Persuades\u2019<\/a> last Friday (September 18).<\/p>\n

To celebrate the record\u2019s release, she announced two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18. You can find any remaining tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The shows come after Miley said last year that she still had no \u201cdesire\u201d to tour<\/a>, explaining that embarking on extensive runs of concerts made it difficult to maintain her mental well-being.<\/p>\n

Now, she\u2019s hinted at plans for a residency. During an interview with Zane Lowe for his show on Apple Music, the singer reflected on the high demand for her two Hollywood Bowl shows.<\/p>\n

Lowe said: \u201cI think you would have to do a residency of 80 shows at the [Hollywood] Bowl to satisfy the level of demand,\u201d to which Miley responded: \u201cThis is the ultimate dress rehearsal. I\u2019ve learned now through the queue that my calculations are correct, and people will come to me. I don\u2019t need to drive to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

An estimated 1.5million people attempted to buy tickets to the two shows, though the Bowl had a max capacity of 17,500. Lowe added that those concerts had shown \u201cproof of concept,\u201d saying they could be \u201cpotentially the beginning of something broader.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Speaking last year about touring, Miley said: \u201cI do have the physical ability and I have the opportunities to tour. I wish I had the desire, but I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also don\u2019t think there\u2019s actually an infrastructure that supports artists. The artists like Prince, that are not here today, that lived such a high-intensity lifestyle. You\u2019re out on the road, and it\u2019s hard to maintain sobriety when you\u2019re on the road, which is a really important pillar of stability in my life. Not only losing their life but losing their minds,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time she has opened up about the impact touring has on her wellbeing either.\u00a0Back in 2023 the singer revealed that she has struggled with the idea of being on the road for years<\/a>, and has come to realise that it \u201cisn\u2019t healthy for me\u201d.<\/p>\n

In a four-star review<\/a>\u00a0of her previous album,\u00a0NME\u00a0wrote: \u201c\u2018Something Beautiful\u2019 is sprawling and apparently unperturbed by contemporary chart trends. While \u2018Something Beautiful\u2019 probably isn\u2019t Cyrus\u2019s most hit-packed album, it does feel like a fully realised artistic statement.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other news,\u00a0Miley\u00a0received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/a>\u00a0in May, where she committed to \u201ccontinuing the cycle full of creation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, she recently\u00a0shared a personal tribute to her godmother Dolly Parton<\/a>, who\u00a0died last month, aged 80<\/a>. Miley recalled that one of their final conversations had been about \u201cmusic and metamorphosis\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI have an angel by my side.
