Police are investigating after a video was posted online showing what appears to be two men driving through Brampton armed with guns.<\/p>\n
The footage shows two people \u2013 a driver and passenger in a vehicle \u2013 driving through a residential street, armed with pistols. The passenger is also carrying what appears to be a pump-action 12-gauge shotgun.<\/p>\n
The video caught the attention of INSAUGA Canada reporters last week, and Peel Regional Police said in an update on Monday that officers with Brampton\u2019s 22 Division are leading the investigation.<\/p>\n
And while some social media users and influencers have identified the area as a Brampton street, Peel Regional Police have not commented on where they believe the video was filmed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were aware of the video and began looking into the circumstances shortly after it began circulating online,\u201d Peel police spokesperson Const. Tyler Bell-Morena told INSAUGA Canada in a statement.<\/p>\n
The video was formally reported to Peel police on Sept. 14. Police said no further details about the investigation could be disclosed.<\/p>\n
