{"id":90517,"date":"2025-08-23T05:56:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T05:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/90517\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T05:56:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T05:56:09","slug":"toronto-east-end-assault-man-wanted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/90517\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto east-end assault: man wanted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0August 22, 2025 at 6:28PM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0August 22, 2025 at 2:22PM EDT<\/p>\n<p>Toronto police are searching for 33-year-old Damarlo Garrick who is accused of tripping and kicking another person in an east-end assault. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A 33-year-old man is wanted after allegedly tripping and kicking a victim in the head in the city\u2019s east end early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police said a call for an assault in the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/QT9zxKrM5h5gVEfq9\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/QT9zxKrM5h5gVEfq9\">Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue<\/a> came in around 12:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Two people got into an altercation, which police said escalated when one of them got out of their vehicle and ran toward the other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspect allegedly tripped the victim and kicked them in the head after they fell to the ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/63834\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/63834\/\">In a news release on Friday,<\/a> police identified the suspect as Damarlo Garrick, who is wanted for assault causing bodily harm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He is described as six feet tall with a thin build, black hair and a black beard.
