{"id":905336,"date":"2026-09-22T12:34:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T12:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/905336\/"},"modified":"2026-09-22T12:34:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T12:34:09","slug":"forecasted-rain-in-boston-could-have-impact-on-national-league-wild-card-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/905336\/","title":{"rendered":"Forecasted rain in Boston could have impact on National League wild-card race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-leagues-and-governing-bodies \">Rain is \u201cpossible if not likely at Fenway Park for all three games\u201d of the final regular season series between the Red Sox and Cubs this weekend, and \u201cthat could determine almost everything about the National League wild-card race.\u201d While the Red Sox \u201cseem all but certain to end up as the No. 5 seed in the American League,\u201d the NL wild-card is \u201ca three-team battle\u201d between the Cubs, Padres and Phillies.
