{"id":90535,"date":"2025-08-23T06:05:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T06:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/90535\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T06:05:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T06:05:20","slug":"michael-carrick-discusses-man-utd-legends-v-celtic-september-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/90535\/","title":{"rendered":"Michael Carrick discusses Man Utd legends v Celtic | September 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>But it is all, of course, for a good cause, with the last game raising just under \u00a31m in revenue to benefit <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mufoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">the United Foundation<\/a>, an organisation the former Red has a strong association with through his own charity, the Michael Carrick Foundation. <\/p>\n<p>The organisation funds one of our regular <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mufoundation.org\/en\/Projects\/Street-Reds\" target=\"_blank\">Street Reds sessions<\/a>, providing young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with a route into sport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every pound, every penny, it&#8217;s actually priceless, really, how much you can affect people&#8217;s lives,&#8221; Carrick said. &#8220;It&#8217;s something I&#8217;ve really enjoyed doing and being part of, with the two foundations coming together from my side.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re heavily involved [Carrick, his wife Lisa and their children], and we get down there, support the coaches and get to know the young people that are taking part.
