Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Let’s start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026.

If you didn’t tune in to Contender Series a few hours ago, you missed one of the year’s most entertaining scraps between Piero Guaylupo vs. Callum Connor. In just three rounds, the two landed nearly 400 combined significant strikes, mostly in the form of powerful head punches, breaking the previous UFC Lightweight record set by Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier 3.

Sean Strickland in a boxing match without his teep? Left hook city.

Well … we almost had a Kevin Vallejos fight announcement. Lots of Featherweight contenders vying for the next shot right now, who should face the Volk vs. Movsar winner?

I’m a Manel Kape fan, but it would be HILARIOUS if he missed weight for a title fight after this comment.

Joshua Van has an entire country fully behind him.

Speaking of the Flyweight title fight, here’s a great show of respect between combatants after some medium-hot trash talk ahead of time.

The MMA community has never been more united.

Slips, rips, and KO clips

The loser shifted with the cross like an MMA fighter, which flies far less often in the boxing ring.

Trying to heel hook Reinier de Ridder in the opening exchange was silly, but Roman Dolidze knows his leg entanglements.

Great use of body punches while mid-flurry:

Somebody’s getting fired.
