A new era has officially dawned on German football. J\u00fcrgen Klopp has taken charge of his first training sessions as Germany national team manager since he was appointed to the post to replace Julian Nagelsmann back in the end of July.<\/p>\n
Klopp has named a 44-man squad for the four UEFA Nations League matches Germany is set to play against the Netherlands, Greece (twice), and Serbia and has divided them up into two, separate squads. He\u2019s sending a statement and staying true to his word that he wanted to make changes as manager and get a look at as many players as he possibly could. Bayern Munich\u2019s Lennart Karl and Barcelona\u2019s Karim Adeyemi have swapped place in the separate squad and RB Leipzig\u2019s Brajan Gruda has had to withdraw from the squad due to injury, but other than that, Klopp is ready to put his plans into action for Die Mannschaft.<\/p>\n
Ahead of his first official training session as Germany manager, Klopp sent out a video message to Germany fans all of the world, referring to himself as \u201cthe new one\u201d \u2014 a play on phrase from dubbing himself \u201cthe normal one\u201d when he was appointed Liverpool manager back in 2015, taking over for Brendan Rodgers.<\/p>\n

For Klopp\u2019s first stint of matches as Germany manager, Die Mannschaft will head to Amsterdam to take on the Netherlands, then to Augsburg to take on Greece, then will play host to Serbia in Munich at Bayern Munich\u2019s Allianz Arena, concluding with a trip to Thessaloniki to take on Greece again.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a lot to consider for this international break for Klopp. He\u2019ll want to get as many points as possible, but also want to get a good look at a lot of different players, some of which are in the senior national team squad for the first time.
